Call it beginner’s luck.
This was my very first casting, and I got it!
For several days, we shot during a late summer heat wave in rural Alabama, where the dust was plentiful and the Waffle House was good eats.
This beautifully shot show (reminiscent of Law & Order) is actually part of a series commissioned by the U.S. Post Office to educate people about mail and internet fraud. This episode, called “Truth or Consequences”, focuses on a pair of criminals swindling people out of thousands of dollars via a work-at-home web scam. And I got to play the scammer! That was surreal, especially after being a reporter who went after scammers for so many years! But it was fu-u-un!
